Boeing Reaffirms Commitment to Saudi Arabia’s Defence Localization Efforts

RIYADH: Boeing has reaffirmed its support for Saudi Arabia’s efforts to localize industries and strengthen national capabilities.

Speaking at the World Defence Show in Riyadh, Boeing Global President Dr. Brendan Nelson highlighted that the company’s partnership with the Kingdom spans nearly five decades, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The world’s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer for jetliners is showcasing its wide range of aerospace systems at the World Defence Show 2026, held in Riyadh from February 8 to 12.

Dr. Brendan Nelson noted that Boeing’s participation reflects its commitment to enhancing defence readiness and advancing capabilities in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

He added the company also underscored its strategic collaborations with Saudi entities across the defence ecosystem, reaffirming its support for the Kingdom’s efforts to localize industries and strengthen national capabilities.

It is pertinent to mention that the World Defence Show opened in Riyadh on Sunday, bringing together leading defence and military companies from around the world to showcase cutting-edge technologies and capabilities.

It brings together official delegations, government entities, and major international firms operating across the defence and security sectors.

The event comes as part of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a comprehensive national defense industry and localize more than 50 percent of military spending, while boosting operational readiness and strategic autonomy.
