BRUSSELS: Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, is embarking on his third visit to the Middle East, coinciding with an extension of a truce in Gaza mediated by Qatar.
Blinken is set to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv and Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas in Ramallah. The focus of his discussions will include the need for sustained humanitarian assistance to Gaza, securing the release of hostages, and enhancing protection for civilians.
