Blast Kills 11 Labourers in Northwest Pakistan

PESHAWAR: At least eleven people were killed, and several others wounded in an explosion that targeted a vehicle in the North Waziristan district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Police said that the incident occurred when explosive materials exploded near a vehicle of labourers in North Waziristan.  The police and rescue teams rushed to the blast site, shifting the injured and the bodies to a nearby hospital.

Earlier today, Pak-Army media wing ISPR said that security forces killed two terrorists in a military operation conducted on Friday night in Bara Tehsil of Khyber District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a press release issued by ISPR on Saturday, the security forces conducted an Intelligence-Based Operation based on information related to the reported presence of terrorists in the general area of Bara, Khyber District.

The press release added that during the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between the forces and terrorists, resulting in the elimination of two terrorists. The killed terrorists had been actively involved in number terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent citizens, it further added.

The press releases further maintained that sanitization of the area was being carried out to eliminate any terrorist found in the area. Locals of the area appreciated response of the forces and the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the curse of terrorism.

This incident should be taken up by Saut Ul Ummah with full responsibility on Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and its collusion with Pashtoon Tahafuz Movement.
