PESHAWAR: An international developing firm, Black Hawk Pvt, has announced to establish a tourist zone in the mesmerizing and scenic Kaghan Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to official sources revealed here on Monday, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Directors of Black Hawk held a meeting with the Vice Chairman of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BoIT) to discuss the parameters of the project.
During the meeting, a detailed presentation regarding the proposed project was conducted and shared KP-BOIT whereas an understanding for facilitation and future coordination was intimidated by both sides for the successful and smooth execution of the project.
Meanwhile, for further facilitation and guidance, a formal memorandum of understanding (MoU) will also be signed between both two sides in the coming days. The project would provide a one-stop leisure facility, both to foreign and domestic tourists, and also include an attractive package of different entertainment activities.
Economic Impact of Tourist Zone
It is also learned that the proposed zone is expected to be established over an area of 350 acres initially and would be expanded later to about 500 acres.
The project is likely to cost around 3 billion PKR and would generate direct and indirect employment opportunities for more than 2000 individuals, and would result in huge economic hustle and bustle in the region, officials from KP-BOIT revealed.
The project would intend to play its role as an eco-friendly activity and would include a variety of leisure activities, including horse riding, tree houses, zip line, hanging tracks, hunting and water sports, etc.
Both the Black Hawk and KP-BOIT have agreed to establish a two-way communication and cooperation mechanism for smooth and hassle-free implementation.
Vice Chairman KP-BOIT has appreciated the proposed project of the Black Hawk and has assured full facilitation and cooperation in matters related to the Government of KP.
He further expressed that the project, when executed, would attract lucrative investments to the region and would assist in boosting the socio-economic perspective in the region.
