SRINAGAR: The BJP-led government in India has suspended yet another Kashmiri Muslim employee in Baramulla area of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), further raising serious concerns regarding targeted acts against officials at local level.

According to western media reports, the School Education Department (SED) in Occupied Kashmir, on the order of the BJP extremist regime, issued a suspension order for Arif Mohammad Khan, a Lecturer in Environmental Science at a high secondary school in Baramulla, quoting unfounded charges.

This brutal act is part of a disturbing trend that has emerged since August 2019, when the BJP extremist government implemented significant changes to Occupied Kashmir’ s administrative structure.

Critics and experts argue that these steps reflect a colonial mindset aimed at marginalizing Muslim employees and replacing them with people sympathetic to Hindutva ideologies in the occupied region.

Since 2019, many dismissals and suspensions of Muslim government workers, often justified under different pretexts, have also raised alarm regarding the potential erosion of local and genuine representation.
