SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: The Hindutva regime in India, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has compiled a list of more than 4,000 private properties earmarked for confiscation in the near future in the Indian illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
India’s formidable agencies, including the State Investigation Agency and National Investigation Agency, have assembled this list, encompassing agricultural land, schools, houses, and offices owned by Kashmiri individuals. These individuals face accusations of advocating for the resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute through the UN-recognized right to self-determination.
Since 2019, the Modi regime has already sealed around 500 properties in the region. The new list of over 4,000 properties, now part of the Indian Home Ministry’s seizure plan, is expected to undergo formalities before the properties are officially sealed.
Those affiliated with Jamaat-e-Islami, Hurriyat organizations, as well as journalists, social activists, and religious leaders, are specifically targeted by the Indian Home Ministry and its agencies.
The Hindutva regime, under the leadership of Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, is employing the forceful act of property seizure as a means to suppress the voices advocating for the right to self-determination in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The move is part of a broader strategy to stifle dissent and opposition to the government’s policies in the region.
