BISP Mobile Registration Centers to be Operational by November

ISLAMABAD: The Mobile Registration Vehicle Centers to facilitate the registration process for the Benazir Income Support Programme’s (BISP) intending beneficiaries, belonging to the far-flung areas of the country, is expected to be operational by the month of November.

The centers will enable the deserving women residing in the remote areas to access the registration facilities through mobile vehicles.

Secretary Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Amer Ali Ahmad said that the process of induction of Mobile Vans, which started in August, has entered its final stages.

A total of twenty-five Mobile Vans is being included to serve as Mobile Registration Centers of the National Socio-Economic Registry, which would facilitate those who were unable to access the registration facility.

He said that as many as nineteen Mobile Registration Centers are being established in the far-flung areas of Balochistan, 5 in Sindh and one in Islamabad in this phase.

BISP Includes Transgenders, People with Special Abilities

It is to be noted that the BISP identifies the deserving beneficiaries through NSER and enrolls them in the programme while it is for the first time in the history of the country that transgenders and people with special abilities have been included in the programme and can register.
