Sources said that Bismah Maroof has tendered resignation from her role as the skipper of the national cricket team, which has been accepted by Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Najam Sethi.
In a message on his Twitter account, Najam Sethi said: “I have accepted resignation of Bismah Maroof Captain of Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team.”
I have accepted resignation of @maroof_bismah Captain of Pakistan Women’s National Team. She wants to make way for a younger colleague. But happily she will continue to play for Pakistan and bring laurels for her country.
