Bilour accuses KP govt of massive rigging in a by-election

PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) candidate from NA-31 Peshawar-V Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government of massive rigging in a by-election and refused to accept the result.

It is pertinent to mention here that PTI Chairman Imran Khan won the NA-31 Peshawar-V seat after beating Bilour, as per the unofficial results.

Talking to a private news channel, Bilour said: “Provincial government defeated me. I do not accept defeat.”

He alleged that the KP government’s machinery was extensively used against him in the by-election campaign. “The government deployed his people inside and outside the polling stations,” he added.
