DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Amid an uncertain atmosphere in the country’s political spectrum, Foreign Minister and Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam – Fazl chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday.
There is a disagreement within the ruling PDM coalition regarding the idea of engaging in negotiations with the opposition to end the country’s current political and economic crises, local media reported. The PPP supports the approach of talks, while the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and JUI-F have declined to consider it, according to reports in local media.
JUI-F leader Asad Mahmood recently said there would be no talks with PTI chief Imran Khan. The meeting between the two bigwigs took place at Fazl’s residence in Abdul Khail village of Dera Ismail Khan. It continued for nearly two hours.
