ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has alleged that PTI chief Imran Khan has decided to take his long march to Rawalpindi in its first phase to deliver a message to the establishment.
Bilawal Bhutto said that Imran Khan’s decision to choose Rawalpindi for the first stopover revealed that he wanted to pressure the government and make the constitutional process controversial.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Foreign Minister said that due to the poor economic situation and foreign policy approach of the Imran Khan-led government, Pakistan had suffered a lot both in financial and foreign affairs.
Imran Khan Wants Unconstitutional Moves
While bashing out at Imran khan and his policies, Bilawal said that it was due to Imran Khan’s undemocratic approach that he offered the army chief a lifetime extension. However, it is fortunate that the army chief rejected the extension offer. He maintained that Imran Khan had had two demands, either an early election or a military coup which is very unfortunate for a leader who claims to be democratic.
He added that the coalition government toppled Imran’s rule democratically through the no-confidence motion for the first time in history. However, Imran khan opposed the no-confidence motion and wanted to make the constitutional move controversial.
He demanded that Imran Khan postpone his march and become part of the constitutional and democratic process to play his role for the betterment and future of the country.
