LOS ANGELES: Palestinian-American model Bella Hadid’s post reaffirming her support for Palestinians on Valentine’s day gets over 1.8 million likes.
Supermodel Hadid, is known for her Palestinian background and involvement in the ‘Free Palestine’ movement.
In a post on photo sharing social media platform, Instagram, she posted a pink heart candy photo with the phrase ‘will you free my Palestine,’ instead of the traditional Valentine’s Day message.
Hadid captioned the photo using hashtags such as ‘Free Palestine,’ ‘Free Gaza,’ ‘Rafah,’ and ‘Ceasefire NOW’, in order to reaffirm her support for Palestine.
The post has drawn over 1.8 million likes, with many Instagram users commenting under it to support for a ceasefire in Gaza.
It is pertinent to mention that, in the wake of the Israel-Hamas war, the death toll in Gaza has crossed 28,000, with Israeli forces now actively targeting Rafah where over half of Gaza’s population is taking refuge.
