PESHAWAR: Charles Delogne, Ambassador of Belgium to Pakistan, called on the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ghulam Ali, here at the Governor’s House on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.
In the meeting, discussions were held on bilateral matters, trade ties, and enhancing people-to-people contacts between the two countries, said a press release issued by the Governor House.
They also discussed matters related to providing better education opportunities to the youth of the merged tribal districts.
The governor urged that Belgium should support promoting education in the merged districts and special scholarship opportunities for the youth.
He said that Belgium should launch an educational project that could bring the youth of merged districts forward in the area of education.
He also highlighted the need to expand bilateral trade and people-to-people relations with Belgium.
Pakistan-Belgium Relations
The Belgian diplomat said that the two nations had a history of seventy-five years of strong public and diplomatic ties.
