MINSK: Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a phone conversation with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on Wednesday, reported by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
During the conversation, Lukashenko extended birthday greetings to his Uzbek counterpart.
Both sides also reviewed the progress of agreements made during Lukashenko’s visit to Tashkent in February of this year, noting effective collaboration across various sectors.

Trade between Belarus and Uzbekistan from January to May amounted to nearly $245 million, marking a 5.3% increase compared to the previous year.
Both nations are actively engaged in ongoing cooperation and have initiated several new joint projects.
