TASHKENT: China has allocated $12 million to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan to further enhance the quality of education in the Central Asian nation, local media reported on Wednesday.
Beijing Allocates $12 Million to Enhance Quality of Education in Uzbekistan
As per media reports, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan and representatives of the Ministry of Commerce of China, and a computer manufacturing firm held a meeting and discussed bilateral cooperation and longstanding plans over the matter.
During the talks, it was noted that a $12 million grant was provided to the Ministry of Preschool and School Education as part of the 2nd phase of the project on enhancing the quality of teaching foreign languages and computer science.

The grants will be utilized to provide 20,848 educational computers to 1,303 schools in the Central Asian country.
