PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has summoned a meeting of the provincial apex committee to be held today over the Bannu incident.
As per media reports, Gandapur will chair the apex committee meeting today. Peshawar corps commander, IG police, chief secretary, additional chief secretary interior and other officials will also attend the meeting. A local television said that five elders of the Bannu Jirga will also attend the meeting.
It may be recalled that a Jirga was held in the Chief Minister’s House during which Jirga members tabled their demands. Accepting their demands, the Chief Minister decided to call a meeting of the provincial apex committee meeting over the matter.
