DHAKA: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the schedule for the national team’s upcoming home white-ball series against New Zealand, which will feature three One-day Internationals and three T20 Internationals.
According to the itinerary released on Monday, the ODI series will be held from April 17 to 23. The first two matches will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, while the third will be played in Chattogram at the Bir Shreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium.
The T20I leg will begin in Chattogram, where the first two matches are scheduled for April 27 and 29. The series will then move back to Mirpur for the final T20I on May 2.
The series will be Bangladesh’s second assignment since missing out on the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The hosts recently defeated Pakistan 2-1 in a three-match ODI series.
Eight-wicket win
Bangladesh started that series strongly with an eight-wicket win but suffered a heavy 128-run defeat in the second match. They bounced back in the decider, securing an 11-run victory to seal the series.
New Zealand, meanwhile, are currently engaged in a five-match T20I series against South Africa at home. The visitors lead 1-0 after winning the opening match by seven wickets.
The upcoming series will provide both teams with valuable match practice as they continue preparations for future international assignments.
