DOHA, Qatar: Bangladesh A won the toss and chose to bowl first against Pakistan Shaheens in the final of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha on Sunday.
Bangladesh A captain Akbar Ali said he wanted his bowlers to exploit early conditions and put Pakistan under pressure in the title match.
Pakistan Shaheens entered the final unbeaten after wins over India A, Oman and the United Arab Emirates in the group stage.
Pakistan Shaheens have been the most consistent team in the tournament. They defeated Sri Lanka A in the semi-final to secure their place in the final.
Bangladesh A reached the final after a tense Super Over victory against India A. Their bowlers sealed the win in spectacular fashion.
Ripon Mondol bowled out India A for zero in the Super Over, dismissing Jitesh Sharma with a yorker and removing Ashutosh Sharma on the next ball.
Chasing just one run, Bangladesh A lost Yasir Ali on the first delivery but secured victory when a drifting googly from Suyash Sharma was called wide.

Both sides bring strong form into the final. Habibur Rahman Sohan and Ripon Mondol have been key performers for Bangladesh A.
Maaz Sadaqat and Sufiyan Muqeem have delivered consistent performances for Pakistan Shaheens.
