LAHORE: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said on Sunday that the state would take strong action against terrorist elements to purge the menace from Pakistan following a recent wave of attacks that resulted in significant loss of life.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Bugti underscored that there would be no leniency or negotiations with those involved in terrorism. He reaffirmed that such acts would be met with a firm response.

Bugti’s comments followed a terrorist attack in Musakhel, Balochistan, where innocent people were killed. The Chief Minister emphasized the commitment of the state to use all available means to eradicate terrorism and protect the country’s citizens.

“Those who killed the innocent souls are not Balochis. In Baloch traditions, children and women are respected,” Bugti stated. He denounced the perpetrators as outsiders to Baloch culture.

During his visit to Lahore, Bugti expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. He criticized any potential dialogue with terrorists, asserting that negotiations should only occur with those who respect and abide by the constitution.

The Chief Minister also claimed that the recent attacks were funded by the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), India’s external intelligence agency, in an effort to destabilize Pakistan by targeting soft spots.

Bugti announced a compensation package of two million rupees per family for those affected by the Musakhel attack.

Bugti reiterated his commitment to ensuring that no group would be permitted to take the law into its own hands. He emphasized that terrorists have no religion or tribe and should be dealt with solely as terrorists, with no concessions or leniency extended to them.
