QUETTA:  A Baloch woman, Adila Baloch, who was apprehended in Turbat for planning a suicide attack, has disclosed that terrorists blackmail and manipulate Baloch women into committing such acts, local media reported.

Speaking at a news conference in Quetta, she described how she was lured into joining terrorist organizations under false pledges.

Adila, a qualified nurse, shared her story of how she was deceived by terrorists. “My job was to assist people and save lives. Unfortunately, I was misled by those who drifted me from the right path,” she added.

She admitted that the terrorists convinced her to carry out a suicide bombing without considering the lives of innocent people that would be lost.  She said that terrorists showed her false hopes of a new and happy life.  Adila Baloch further disclosed that she was not the only one misled by the terrorists.

She told the media, “Other Baloch youth, both women and men, had been similarly brainwashed,”.  She stated that the narrative of Baloch women willingly becoming suicide bombers was false.

She added, “It is all a lie. Terrorists blackmail women into this. I am a witness to this,”.

In a message to Baloch youth, she urged them not to make the same mistake she committed. “These acts only lead to destruction. You gain nothing from these activities,” Adila Baloch warned, advising youth to inform their parents if they ever encounter such elements.

Adila’s arrest by security forces in Turbat has been hailed as a major achievement, showcasing the authorities’ relentless efforts and effective intelligence operations.  Local media reported that she was working as a nurse at the Turbat Teaching Hospital at the time of her arrest.
