QUETTA: Abdul Hameed Zehri, Deputy Commissioner Chaman said on Sunday that Bab-e-Dosti Gate (Friendship Gate) at the Pak-Afghan border, Chaman would be reopened for all types of movement from Monday (tomorrow).
He announced the decision in a video message, saying the border crossing would be reopened for commercial and all other types of traffic.
He said that the Bab-e-Dosti was closed in a protest after a terrorist entering from Afghan soil martyred an FC officer and wounded two others in the area.
He added that over the past week, Civil-Military Liaison Committee held several meetings to discuss the matter, while authorities on both sides of the borders also talked about the re-opening of the border crossing.
Bab-e-Dosti Afghan Authorities Assures to Arrest and Punish Terrorist

Zehri said that Afghan authorities expressed regret and deep sorrow over the unfortunate incident and assured the Pakistani officials that the terrorist would be arrested and punished for what may come. In the future, no one is allowed to spool the brotherly relations between the two countries.
He said that many suspects tried to carry out nefarious attacks, using helpless people to disturb the peace in the area. But, the authorities and people on both sides of the border thwarted their designs.
The deputy commissioner voiced hope that such terror incidents would not happen again and that the peace and brotherly bilateral ties would remain intact.
