TASHKENT: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have discussed cooperation in energy sector.
Trend reported that Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov met on Wednesday and discussed collaborative opportunities in energy sector.
The both sides also discussed bilateral economic ties, emphasizing the exploration of fresh avenues to enhance business cooperation and the execution of strategies aimed at bolstering economic, trade, and investment partnerships.
In parallel, the Uzbek Statistics Agency disclosed that economic transactions between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan amounted to $142 million between January and March 2024.
