BAKU: Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has dismissed claims regarding the humanitarian situation around the Lachin road, local media reported on Thursday. Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister expressed these remarks during telephone talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. He said that claims regarding the humanitarian situation around the Lachin road are only political manipulation.
Azerbaijan Rejects Claims Regarding Humanitarian Issues at Lachin Road
Bayramov also highlighted the measures taken by Azerbaijan in the post-conflict era. He underlined the significance of the Armenian side ending aggravations in the region and paying respect to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

Local media reported that the units of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan have set up a border checkpoint in its sovereign territories, on the border with Armenia, at the beginning of the Lachin-Khankendi road to prevent the transportation of manpower, mines, and ammunition, as well as other military equipment from Armenia for illegal Armenian armed groups on the territory of Azerbaijan.
