Azerbaijan Airlines Set to Start Direct Flights to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Azerbaijan’s national airline, AZAL, is set to initiate direct flights to Pakistan from next month, September 20, in order to strengthen connectivity between the two nations.

The flights will establish regular routes to three key destinations in Pakistan – the capital city Islamabad, as well as the major urban centers of Lahore and Karachi, confirmed an Azerbaijan Embassy spokesperson on Wednesday.

Sharing further details, the spokesperson said that scheduled flights from Baku to Islamabad are slated for Wednesdays and Saturdays, while Lahore-bound flights are planned for Mondays and Fridays. Additionally, flights to Karachi are scheduled for Thursdays and Sundays. The strategically designed schedule aims to cater to the convenience of travelers.

The resumption of these new flight routes is to catalyze the progression of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
