ISLAMABAD/ Austria: At least 10 people had been buried under snow near a ski resort, the Lech-Zuers, in Austria.
According to the BBC, rescue teams in Austria are searching for two skiers who have gone missing after the snowslide.
Austrian authorities said that at least six people have escaped the avalanche without injury, while two others have been flown to the hospitals.
Six escape avalanche
Avalanches have common in Austria. Rescuers said that they should continue their search until everyone was located.
Helicopters and rescue dogs have been involved in the effort to search for the missing people.
“We had done everything we can to rescue the winter sports enthusiasts,” the Austrian Press Agency quotes the municipality of Lech as saying.
The snowslide happened at about 15:00 local time, Austrian authorities said.
