RAWALPINDI: Four soldiers embraced martyrdom during an exchange of fire between the terrorists and the security forces in the Tirah area of Khyber District, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday. In a statement, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said security forces are conducting extensive Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) in Tirah, Khyber District against Fitna-Al-Khwarij and so called Laskar-e-Islam and Jamat-ul- Ahrar. It added these operations based on robust intelligence, have resulted into major setbacks to Fitna Al Khwarij and its affiliates. “During these daring and highly successful IBOs being conducted since 20 August 2024, Security Forces have so far successfully neutralized twenty five Khwarij including Kharji ring leader Abuzar alias Saddam, who have been sent to hell, while eleven Khawrij have been injured,” said the ISPR. The statement said, that during the conduct of operations, four brave soldiers, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced Shahadat. “The heavy losses inflicted upon Fitna Al Khwarij in these operations is testament to the valour and commitment of Security Forces to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country,” it added.

The final began with Iran flexing their champion’s muscle, swiftly seizing the first two sets 25-22 and 25-21, seemingly poised to retain their crown effortlessly. However, Pakistan’s young warriors refused to wilt. Fueled by sheer determination, they stormed back to level the match, snatching the next two sets 30-28 and 25-21 in thrilling fashion. Riding this wave of momentum, Pakistan dominated the decisive fifth set 15-10, sealing a comeback victory that will be remembered for years to come.
