SYDNEY: Australian police are probing claims Taylor Swift’s father attacked a photographer when the singer and her entourage were disembarking a superyacht on Tuesday. police spokeswoman Alicia McCumstie said that Police have been informed a 71-year-old person allegedly attacked a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf around 2:30 am.
She said that the man reported the incident and investigations are under way to ascertain the real situation. However, Australian police do not formally identify accused.
But source and the alleged victim, photographer Ben McDonald, both told the media that the man was Swift’s father, Scott Swift.
McDonald stated he had been photographing the singer on a “super yacht” in Sydney Harbour, an apparent celebration following the last of her 4 sellout gigs in the city.
McDonald accuses Swift’s security detail put an umbrella in his face to stop him from taking photographs as the star was walking down the jetty to a waiting car.
After Swift left, McDonald said a man confronted him and “took it further” and punched him in the chops. A spokesperson for prominent Taylor Swift said that there had been pushing and aggression from unnamed persons at the waterside.
