ISLAMABAD: Right-handed Kangaroo batsman Marnus Labuschagne reached on top of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Test Ranking released on Wednesday. England’s former skipper Joe Root lost the top position.
Australian stylish batter, Marnus, score tons in Perth against West Indies few days back and scored 204 and 104 not-out runs in both innings of the Test fixture that was won by the hosts quite easily.
Pakistan’s Babar Azam on 4th position ICC ranking
Joe Root went down to 4th spot, as Steven Smith and Pakistani captain Babar Azam secured 3rd and 4th position respectively in the new Test Ranking.
Steven Smith achieved 2 slots, as he contributed 220 runs in two innings at Perth against the same opposition. Nathan Lyon jumped into 15th place after capturing 8 wickets and played a vital role in the team’s win by 164 runs.
