COLOMBO, Sri Lanka: Australia Women continued their dominant run in the ICC Women’s World Cup with a comprehensive 107-run victory over Pakistan Women in the 9th match of the tournament at the R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
Batting first, Australia posted a competitive 221/9 in 50 overs, powered by a brilliant 109 from Beth Mooney. Despite early wickets falling at regular intervals, Mooney held the innings together with a classy 114-ball knock, striking 11 boundaries.
Alana King added a vital unbeaten 51 at the back end of the innings to give Australia a defendable total.
