KARACHI: Pakistan’s Muhammad Asim Khan celebrated a remarkable achievement on Sunday by winning his first Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour title. Khan faced off against top-seeded English player Nick Wall in the final of the Charlottesville Open, where he showcased resilience and skill in a challenging 65-minute match.

Despite losing the opening game 12-14, Khan rebounded with determination, securing victories in the next three games with scores of 12-10, 11-5, and 11-6. His triumph at the Charlottesville Open, a PSA World Tour Copper event with a prize pool of $28,750, not only brought him the championship but also earned him 500 ranking points that will enhance his position in the global standings.

This victory marks a significant milestone in Khan’s career and adds to Pakistan’s storied legacy in squash, highlighting the nation’s ongoing contribution to the sport at an international level.
