ASHGABAT: The upcoming meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is set to take place on May 24 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, according to reports from Trend.
The CIS Executive Committee has announced that the agenda for this meeting will be discussed during the next gathering of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS States, scheduled for February 27th at the CIS Executive Committee headquarters in Minsk, Belarus.
During the Minsk meeting, permanent representatives will focus on various aspects, including the implementation of the roadmap for initiatives put forward by delegations during previous meetings of the Council of Heads of State, the Council of Heads of Government, the Council of Foreign Ministers, and the CIS Economic Council. Specifically, discussions will revolve around security cooperation and the outcomes of foreign policy collaboration within the Commonwealth throughout 2023, particularly in terms of international positioning within the CIS.
The previous meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government convened in October of last year in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. This forthcoming gathering in Ashgabat presents an opportunity for member states to further strengthen cooperation and address pressing regional and global challenges.
