KARACHI: Ahmad Shah, President of the Pakistan Arts Council Karachi, announced on Saturday that the “World Culture Festival Karachi” is scheduled to be held from September 26 to October 30.
He emphasized that this festival is a vital step in enhancing cultural diplomacy and reflects Pakistan’s dedication to peace and unity. “From September 26 to October 30, Karachi will transform into a global cultural melting pot,” Shah stated during an interview with a private news channel.
This event will bring together representatives from 35 countries to showcase their diverse cultural heritages. “The festival will feature a variety of cultural activities, including music, art, dance, and food from the participating nations,” he stated.

“It will not only facilitate cultural exchange but also promote unity and understanding among different nations,” he further added.
Attendees can look forward to captivating performances by artists from 35 countries, highlighting their traditional music, dance, and theater, all at affordable ticket prices.
By collaborating with prominent musicians, dancers, visual artists, and performers, the festival aims to foster cross-cultural understanding, peace, and harmony, Shah noted.
Countries involved include China, India, Japan, the UK, France, Australia, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Brazil, the UAE, Germany, Egypt, South Africa, and the USA, among others. The event will take place across various venues in Karachi, including the Pakistan Arts Council, Karachi Expo Centre, National Museum, and Beach Luxury Hotel, with tickets available online and at the venues.
Shah highlighted that the Sindh government is pioneering this groundbreaking initiative with the 35-day festival, marking it as a first-of-its-kind global event.
“With full support from the government, the festival promises an extraordinary experience filled with enchanting folk music performances, spectacular dance shows, art exhibitions, craft fairs, and delightful food festivals,” he assured.
This event will also serve as a platform for 350 local artisans, musicians, and craftsmen to showcase their talents and connect with international audiences. “To ensure the festival’s success, the government has mobilized all necessary resources, infrastructure, security, and logistics, making it a symbol of Sindh’s cultural resurgence and its renowned hospitality,” he said.
