ISLAMABAD: Former senator Faisal Vawda has said that senior journalist Arshad Sharif was killed though a planned and well-orchestrated conspiracy by powerful people who were needed to be exposed.
Talking to the media after appearing before the FIA team in Islamabad, which is separately probing the killing of Arshad Sharif, Vawda said that he submitted a 10-point questionnaire to the FIA and he could not divulge that points to the media.
He said that the FIA also 10 per cent agreed to the four points he had earlier raised about the death of the late journalist.
“It was a killing through a well-planned conspiracy and Arshad Sharif was targeted at point-blank range,” Vawda said adding that the hitmenwell-planned, well planned and shrewd.
He said that unless he had raised the issue at his earlier press conference, Pakistan was goping in the darkness in collecting facts involving the high-profile murder.
He said that Arshad Sharif was his good friend. He said that the killing must be taken seriously and it should not fall prey to non-seriousness and joke.
He ruled out that ARY CEO Salman Iqbal was behind the killing of Arshad Sharif saying he knew Salman very well and he was not the kind of a person to commit such a heinous crime. Vawda said that he still had good regard for Imran Khan, who, he said a nicest person and politician.
