ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem has landed in Tokyo and officially kicked off his training ahead of the World Athletics Championship, set to begin this Saturday in Japan.

The javelin star wasted no time and hit the gym soon after arriving, focusing on weight training drills to sharpen his strength and form before the competition heats up.

Arshad is set to compete in the javelin throw qualifying round on September 17, with the final scheduled for September 18, a date Pakistani sports fans have already circled on their calendars.

This marks another big stage for the 28-year-old athlete, who continues to carry Pakistan’s hopes in global track and field events.

All eyes will be on Arshad as he aims to add another medal to his growing legacy, and perhaps even bring home more gold.
