Around 480 COVID-19 Cases, Four Deaths Record in Malaysia

ISLAMABAD/KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia recorded 480 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the total tally of infections to 5,023,999, the health ministry of Malaysia said.

Of these 480 recorded cases, seven were imported and 473 were local transmissions, as per data released by the Malaysian Ministry of Health.

In Malaysia, four more deaths have been reported from COVID-19, taking the death toll to 36,835 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Statistics of Covid 19 cases

The Malaysia Ministry of Health also recorded 655 new recoveries from the virus, taking the total number of COVID-19 patients discharged from hospitals to 4,973,346.

Currently, there are 13,818 active Covid 19 case with 45 coronavirus cases being treated in intensive care and 20 in need of assisted breathing in hospitals.

Malaysia Vaccinations

Malaysia reported 1,107 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered on Monday, and that 86.1 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 84.3 percent are fully vaccinated with two doses, 49.8 percent Malaysian population have received a first booster dose and 1.9 percent of papulation have received a second booster dose.
