RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir visited Karachi Police Office (KPO) on Saturday, the military’s media wing said.

According to ISPR, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah were also briefed about the Karachi Police Office incident at Corps Headquarters.
ISPR added that COAS and the CM Sindh visited Karachi Police Office (KPO), where a successfully coordinated Counter Terrorism (CT) operation involving Pak Army Special Service Group (SSG), Sindh Police, and Pakistan Rangers Sindh cleared the site while all terrorists were killed in the operation on Friday night.
The Army Chief and the Chief Minister Sindh also visited Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC) and met the wounded personnel of Police and Pakistan Rangers Sindh, ISPR added. On the occasion, the Army Chief and the CM lauded the bravery, morale, and sacrifices of Army, Pakistan Rangers, and Police in the line of duty, the military’s media wing said.

Army Chief Visits Karachi
ISPR said that Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir emphasized that terrorists have no religion or ideology but rather only misguided conceptions forced through coercion.
According to ISPR, the Army Chief said that the security forces remain singularly focused on counter-terrorism and Intelligence based operations, which are being conducted all over the country with pronounced success.
He continued that “No nation can overcome such challenges with kinetic actions only.” He added that it needs mutual trust, will of the people, and synergy between all stakeholders.
The Army Chief said that Pakistanis have always rejected and defeated terrorism and extremism in all its manifestations. He added that together they shall prevail upon this menace for a shared prosperous future.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Sindh said that State acknowledges and salutes countless sacrifices rendered by law enforcement agencies and Pakistan’s unbreakable resolve against terrorism, ISPR stated.
