KARACHI: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Asim Munir on Wednesday visited the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, to pay homage to the Nation’s founder, ISPR said in a press release. The COAS laid floral wreath on Quaud’s mausoleum and offered Fateha.

Later, the COAS visited Corps Headquarters Karachi. During his visit, the Army Chief was briefed on Security, Operational, and other matters of the formation. He was also including on the formation’s assistance to civil administration during recent floods in Sindh province particularly interior Sindh, ISPR said.

Army Chief appreciates Army and Ranger’s troops
The Chief of Army Staff appreciated Ranger and Army’s soldiers for operational preparedness. He also appreciated the troops for reaching out to the affected people of Sindh province during the recent unprecedented flash floods across the country.

The COAS praised formation, law enforcement agencies, and allied organisations for maintaining secure and safe environment in the Sindh province especially in Karachi city.
Earlier, Lieutenant General Muhammad Saeed Corps Commander Karachi received the COAS on his arrival at Karachi.
