LAHORE: Pakistan Army athletes lifted the title of 50th National Athletics Championship 2022 after winning total 21 gold medals including 21 men’s event and 7 women’s events that held under the banner of Athletics Federation of Pakistan (AFP) in collaboration with the Sports Board Punjab and Punjab Athletics Association at Punjab Stadium Lahore.
All the affiliated units of the Athletics Federation of Pakistan, including Pakistan Army, Navy, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), WAPDA, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Railways, Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Balochistan, Islamabad, AJK, Gilgit Baltistan participated in the 3 days extravaganza.
On the final day, Maj. Gen (R) Muhammad Akram Sahi, HI(M), SI(M), President Athletics of Pakistan, was the chief guest and awarded trophies to the winning teams and distributed medals and cash prizes amongst the winners.
