Armed Forces Fully Prepared Against any Aggression, Threat: COAS

ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Chief General Syed Asim Munir has categorically said that armed forces of Pakistan are fully alert and prepared against any inside and outside threat, conspiracy and aggression, however called upon the nation to remain united against terrorism and militancy.

He also urged the youth to play their role in the development of the country as they are the asset and future of Pakistan.

General Asim Munir said this while addressing the participants of Pakistan National Youth Conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, adding that being Shaheen of Allam Iqbal, our youth have to fulfil the dream of Allam Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam and not to compromise on Pakistan’s sovereignty and culture. He also urged the youth to play their role in discouraging western culture and promote eastern civilization.

COAS Urges Youth to Counter Fake News.

Syed Asim Munir also highlighted the ongoing propaganda on social media and stressed upon the masses to have a vivid eye and such malicious campaign and material. He added that there must be a mechanism of confirmation of such news and fake and propaganda news should be discouraged and investigated.

The COAS termed such kind of fake propaganda as harmful for any society and recalled about a verse from the holy Quran saying that “when a person (a liar) brings a news, one must have to investigate about its authenticity”.

Asim Munir also expressed his pleasure while having interaction with the future leaders of the country adding that the primary purpose in the creation of Pakistan was that its religion, civilization and culture was totally different from that of the Hindus.

Reiterating the commitment and resilience of Pakistan’s armed forces, Asim Munir said that they would be ready and alert during any thick and thin, whereas both the forces and nation would never compromise on country’s sovereignty.

Meanwhile, participants of the conference, mostly the youth, chanted slogans ‘Long Live Pakistan, Pakistan Army and Quaid-i-Azam Zindabad’.
