JEDDAH: The Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) has participated in a workshop on promoting volunteerism with a united approach, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Jeddah organized the event in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
The workshop aimed to come up with a comprehensive and unified procedural guide, and develop training content according to international principle of volunteerism.
The workshop provides an opportunity to take advantage of the experience of national associations and bodies in the region, thus contributing to enhancing the level of volunteer work.
