Arab League Set to Hold Emergency Meeting on Lebanon

CAIRO: Permanent representatives to the Arab League will hold an emergency meeting on October 3 to discuss the evolving situation in Lebanon, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

Assistant Secretary-General of the league Hossam Zaki in a statement said that the meeting was sought by Iraq and is backed by many Arab countries.

He said the meeting will discuss Arab action in solidarity with Lebanon, and address the serious implications of the aggression by Israel.
