TUNIS: The Arab Interior Ministers Council (AIMC) has strongly condemned Iran’s repeated and unlawful attacks on Arab countries, accusing Iran of deliberately targeting civilian areas and critical energy infrastructure across the region.

In a statement issued from its headquarters in Tunis on Friday, the council denounced attacks affecting multiple countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman.

The statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said the attacks represent a clear violation of international laws and norms, as well as the principles of good neighbourly relations. It warned that the continued escalation could pose serious risks to both regional and global economic interests, while also threatening international peace and security.

The council further condemned the ongoing “aggression” and acts of sabotage, expressing full solidarity with affected Arab nations. It reaffirmed its support for all measures taken by these countries to defend their sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

The statement also praised the efforts of Arab armed forces, security agencies, and civil defence teams, highlighting their role in countering threats and maintaining stability, as well as protecting critical infrastructure and civilian populations.

Arab Parliament condemns Iranian attacks on oil facilities

Meanwhile, the Arab Parliament has also condemned Iran’s recent attacks on oil and industrial facilities across several Gulf States, calling them a dangerous and unprecedented escalation.

The parliament described the strikes as a highly perilous development that threatens regional security and stability while posing serious risks to global energy supplies.

In an official statement, Mohammed Al Yamahi, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, emphasised that these acts of aggression represent a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, which strictly prohibit attacks on civilian and economic infrastructure.
