WASHINGTON: Top diplomats representing a coalition of Arab and Islamic nations, currently on an official visit to Washington, have jointly called for an immediate end to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, speaking on behalf of the group, emphasized the urgent need for a ceasefire and appealed to the United Nations Security Council to adopt a resolution to that effect.
The call for an immediate end to hostilities came during the visit of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee. “Our message is we believe it is absolutely necessary to end the fighting immediately,” the Saudi Foreign Minister stated, urging swift immediate from the international community.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud highlighted the importance of the UN Security Council’s involvement, emphasizing the need for a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. The diplomatic initiative seeks to address the escalating humanitarian crisis and the impact of the conflict on civilians.
