APHC Leaders Congratulate Pakistanis Ahead of Independence Day

ISLAMABAD:  The leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) have extended felicitation to the people and government of Pakistan ahead of their Independence Day, to be celebrated on Monday, August 14.

APHC Vice Chairman, Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said Pakistan’s Independence Day on 14th August is the day of thanksgiving and day of rejoice for the people of Kashmir, whereas the Indian Independence Day on 15th August is a black day for Kashmiris. He added the people of Kashmir consider Pakistan as their supporter and envoy whereas they regard India as a tyrant and imperialist country.

He maintained that the Kashmiris were highly grateful to the people and government of Pakistan for their continued political, moral, and diplomatic support for their just struggle for the right to self-determination. He added the people of Kashmir pray for the prosperity, stability, and progress of the nation as a strong Pakistan is a guarantee to the success of the Kashmir freedom movement.

He termed the Indian independence day as a black day for the people of Kashmir and urged the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir to observe strike and protest on the occasion of Indian independence day. He added that India has no right to celebrate its Independence Day as it has seized all basic rights of the people of Kashmir. He asked the people of the occupied valley to boycott functions of so-called Indian independence day and also hoist black flags on the day. He also urged the Pakistani and Kashmiri diaspora to arrange protest rallies in different states in the front of the Indian embassies, high commissions, and other historical places against the Indian illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir.
