SRINAGAR: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has voiced deep concern over the prolonged illegal detention of numerous Kashmiris, including leaders and activists, held in different jails within India Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

In a statement from Srinagar, the APHC spokesperson highlighted the severe challenges faced by the freedom-loving people of Kashmir, who endure intense Indian state terrorism while advocating for their fundamental right to self-determination.

Despite facing suppression, the Kashmiri people’s unwavering determination has thwarted Indian military arrogance and resisted attempts to undermine their will. The spokesman strongly condemned the seizure of properties and houses by the Indian Bharatiya Janata Party regime, aided by the armed forces.

He called upon the United Nations Human Rights Council and other international organizations to visit IIOJK, assess the dire situation where residents are confined to their homes, and advocate for the freedom of speech and movement in the region.

Furthermore, the APHC urged the international community to support the just struggle of the Kashmiris for self-determination, intervene to halt the widespread human rights abuses committed by Indian forces in IIOJK, and actively participate in resolving the longstanding Kashmir dispute in alignment with United Nations resolutions.
