ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) has strongly denounced BJP-led Indian government’s use of military force, harsh black laws, and coercive cordon and search operations as a part of a deliberate strategy to undermine the Kashmiris’ demand for political justice.

In a statement issued in Srinagar, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Mihas strongly criticized India for its aggressive suppression of dissent in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) through draconian laws such as the Public Safety Act (PSA) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Mihas expressed concern over the current state terrorism and the arbitrary arrest of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops personnel during the so-called cordon and search operations.

The APHC condemned the BJP regime for systematically violating the fundamental rights of the people of Kashmir, including their freedoms of expression, press, and political, business, social, and religious activities. The statement called on the world to not remain passive in the face of these ongoing abuses in the Occupied Kashmir.

Mihas has urged New Delhi to abandon its imperialistic position on Kashmir, admit the current realities, and address the Kashmir dispute in accordance with commitments previously made by Indian leaders at the United Nations and in public statements. The APHC also emphasized that the dire situation in Occupied Kashmir demanded urgent international attention.

The spokesman also appealed to the UN to fulfill its role in resolving the dispute of Kashmir in line with its resolutions and the aspirations of the people of Kashmir to ensure lasting peace in South Asia.
