ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has raised serious concerns over the increasing cordon and search operations, arrests, and extra-judicial killings of Kashmiri youth by Indian troops in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

APHC spokesman Abdul Rashid Minhas highlighted that Indian forces are detaining youths under harsh laws such as the Public Safety Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, leading to widespread extra-judicial killings, especially in areas like Baramulla, Kulgam, and Rajouri.

The APHC continues to demand a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir conflict in accordance with UN resolutions, stressing the legitimacy of Kashmiris’ resistance against Indian occupation. Despite facing detentions and torture, Hurriyat leaders remain steadfast in their commitment to the Kashmir cause.

Minhas appealed to the UN and global human rights organizations to pressure India to release all political detainees, including Hurriyat leaders, who are imprisoned across India and Kashmir.
