SRINAGAR:  The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has voiced serious apprehension regarding the prevailing terror and fear situation in Indian Illegally-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), attributing it to the presence of a substantial Indian military force in the region.

The APHC estimates that over one million Indian forces’ personnel, both in uniform and undercover, are perpetuating severe human rights violations within the territory.

As reported by Kashmir Media Service, Masarrat Aalam Butt, the APHC Chairman who is currently under illegal detention in New Delhi’s Tihar jail, conveyed his distress at the dire human rights situation. He called upon the United Nations to intervene and pressure New Delhi to halt the extensive violations being committed in IIOJK. Butt further demanded a thorough investigation by the International Criminal Court into the grave war crimes perpetrated by Indian forces within the occupied territory.

In addition to his appeal for international intervention, Butt urged India to facilitate a free and impartial plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir, under UN supervision. This plebiscite would allow the people of Kashmir to exercise their right to self-determination, a right recognized by the international community through numerous UN resolutions.

Simultaneously, several APHC leaders, including Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muhammad Shafi Lone, and Devinder Singh Behl, have warned India against testing the patience of the freedom-loving people of Kashmir. They emphasized that the residents of Kashmir have consistently rejected India’s claims over the region and have persistently resisted its illegal occupation.

These leaders stated that the Narendra Modi-led Hindutva Indian government cannot deceive the global community regarding the grim situation in occupied Kashmir through deceptive tactics. They pledged that the Kashmiri people will persist in their struggle until the Kashmir dispute is resolved in line with their desires and aspirations.

Furthermore, APHC-AJK leader Mushtaq Ahmed Butt, in a statement from Muzaffarabad, expressed profound sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in a recent suicide blast in the Mastung area of Balochistan. He strongly asserted that Indian secret agencies were involved in this atrocious act, aiming to destabilize Pakistan.
