ISLAMABAD: Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, the Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, welcomed the recent statement from the Pakistani Army reaffirming the nation’s steadfast support for the struggling people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
In a statement, Saghar commended the Pakistani armed forces for their unwavering solidarity with the Kashmir cause and their commitment to their right of self-determination for the people in Occupied Kashmir.
He said, ” The Chief of Army Staff’s statement has revitalized and revived the passion of the freedom-loving people of Kashmir, who have been writing a new history of resistance while fighting against the Indian occupation troops in IIOJK.”
He added that the history bears witness to the fact that Pakistan’s armed forces have always supported the Kashmir cause. Expressing gratitude towards the Pakistan Army for their continual support of the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination, Saghar asserted the unwavering belief of Kashmiris that Pakistan will always stand by them.
He called India to acknowledge the realities and fulfill the promises made to the Kashmiri people, while also calling upon the global community to raise their voices against the injustices in Kashmir and play their role in ensuring the Kashmiris’ fundamental right to self-determination.
He also extended congratulations to Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on assuming the position of Prime Minister of Pakistan. —APP
