ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter organized a celebratory event in Islamabad to mark Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day on Monday.
The event, led by APHC-AJK Convener Mahmood Ahmed Sagjar, saw the participation of prominent Hurriyat leaders, united in their expressions of joy and patriotism.
During the event, Mehmood Ahmed Sagar extended warm congratulations to the government of Pakistan, the armed forces, and the people of the nation on this auspicious occasion. He emphasized the strong bond between the people of Kashmir and Pakistan, stating that their hearts beat in harmony.
Strong Pakistan Must for Freedom of Kashmir
The leaders of Hurriyat conveyed a resounding message that a strong and prosperous Pakistan serves as a cornerstone for the freedom of Kashmir. They reiterated that the freedom of Kashmir is deeply intertwined with the well-being of Pakistan.
In a symbolic gesture of unity and solidarity, a special prayer was offered for the stability and prosperity of Pakistan and for the swift attainment of freedom for the people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The celebration reached its culmination with the cutting of a cake, reflecting the collective joy and shared aspirations of the attendees in celebrating Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Meanwhile, in a joint statement, Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement Chairman Israr Ahmad and Deputy Chairman Qazi Imran pledged to fulfill the mission set forth by the revered leader of the Kashmiri people, Syed Ali Gilani. Their mission aims to liberate Jammu and Kashmir from Indian occupation and integrate it with Pakistan.
